Can you spot the heating vent in this photo?
A reminder of the dangers during and after winter snow storms.
It’s important to keep your furnace vents, intake valves and chimneys free of ice & snow. Take the time to clear around them so wind doesn’t cover them up overnight or while you’re away.
Blocked vents can cause carbon monoxide to build up in your home & cause carbon monoxide poisoning or death.
Also check that your carbon monoxide detector has working batteries.
With more snow on the way this weekend make sure generators are shoveled out & their vents are cleared in case of a power outage.
